SPIRAL inspiration

While studying for my MFA in Metals + Jewelry at The Savannah College of Art and Design, I began to see spirals everywhere.  From ferns in nature to art history books about early jewelry design, they started to appear in my life.

Even visiting my brother in San Francisco, I stumbled upon the labyrinth at Grace Cathedral.  Spirals and circles forming a meditation path, a walk to our spiritual center and back to the world again.

New life unfolding on a fern plant.

Water swirling down a drain.

Spirals are everywhere.

So it is no wonder that you find the spiral design through the ages in jewelry and artwork.

I am just one artist on her own meditative path that collided with the centuries.
